I wish to move the symantec encryption server from one subnet to another subnet (behind a firewall). Is it alright to go ahead and change the IP? Is there any recommended way to do it?
I will refer to the documentation for the ports that are required to the opened. But I am more concerned about if it will affect anything. We have the symantec encryption server and Symantec Encryption desktop. We use WDE and Folder Encryption facility as of now and user enrollment is done once the encrypted desktop is installed.
And moreover, what changes will be required on the Encryption desktop?
From what I noticed, most of the settings point to the hostname rather than the IP address of the symantec encryption server and encryption desktop
